Matt studied photo journalism at the University of Oregon before realizing his love for assisting with moving images. Matt’s main focus is making sure that every piece of gear is organized and stays working no matter the conditions. Making sure that the production team has what they need to get the best story possible is what drives him. Matt has worked on large scale “Hollywood” productions as well as small intimate documentaries as a camera assistant. In his time off Matt enjoys long pushes in the mountains whether that be trail running, skiing, or climbing.
