Vision Amidst Adversity:

In the searing heat of the Utah desert, amidst the global pandemic, our vision came to life. With limited time and budget, our aim was to craft an off-road masterpiece for the launch video of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX truck. Our canvas was the vast desert, and our brush, a sensual lullaby rendition of the 1950's classic hit song, “Mister Sandman.”

Crafting the Dance:

The realization of this vision was a meticulously orchestrated ballet of endurance and strategy, with co-Directors/DPs Renan Ozturk and Eric Crosland leading two synchronized film units independently yet harmoniously. Our expedition-style strategy, honed by team members freshly back from summiting Everest with Renan, allowed us to capture the fleeting magic of the blue hours in locations as familiar to us as our reflections.

A Mechanical Ballet:

The mechanical protagonist, the truck, was a marvel of capability, traversing the desert terrains with grace and power, becoming one with the landscape, and dancing in the twilight to the tunes of a bygone era. It was a ballet of metal and sand, a symphony of power and grace, and a visual serenade to the mystical and the mechanical.

Homage to the Land:

This project was more than a visual masterpiece; it was a gratitude-filled journey on native ancestral lands. It was a whisper of thanks to the winds of the desert, a bow to the spirits of the land, and a harmonious blend of the past and the present, the spiritual and the tangible, and the melody and the silence.

Conclusion:

“Mr. Sandman” is a sensual and mechanical ballet set against the backdrop of the hauntingly beautiful Utah desert. It is a visual and auditory feast, a dance of shadows and light, and a tribute to the enduring and ephemeral, the seen and the unseen, and the melody that weaves through the sands of time. It is our homage to the land, the spirits, and the timeless dance of nature and machine.
